KENNETH J. ARQUETTE

   Kenneth J. Arquette, 59, of 118 Kraft Avenue, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008, at his residence.

   Mr. Arquette was a native of Tennessee and served in the military during Vietnam. He was an insulator by trade.

   Surviving along with his wife, Lisa Kay Arquette, are three daughters, Linda K. Arquette, Kendra D. Arquette and Lydia A. Ruppe, all of Blacksburg, SC.

   Services were held graveside on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Oakland Cemetery with Steve Brumley officiating.

   Pallbearers were Ricky Allen, Joe Allen and Tommy White.

   The family is at the residence.

ANNIE MAE GILLIAM

   SPARTANBURG, SCAnnie Mae Poag Gilliam, 96, of 1705 Skylyn Drive, formerly of Columbus, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

   Born in 1911, she was the widow of the late Thomas Alfred Gilliam, Sr. and daughter of the late John and Carrie Moss Poag. Mrs. Gilliam was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Columbus Baptist Church.

   She is survived by a son, Alfred Gilliam, Jr. and wife, Stephanie Sayers, of Havertown, PA; a daughter, Sarah Susanne Hurst and husband, Dr. L.R. Hurst, of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Lisa Callanan and husband, Kevin, of Stephens City, VA and Chelsea Gilliam of West Chester, PA; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Callanan and William Callanan.

   Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008, in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Susan Moorefield Newton and Mr. Mike Daniel. Interment followed in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

   The family will be at the home of Susie Hurst, 4 Lafferty Court, Spartanburg, SC.

EDITH REVELS WILKINS

   Edith Revels Wilkins, 81, formerly of 1122 Goucher Green Bethel Road, the widow of Wilburn Thomas Wilkins, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

   Born in the Wilkinsville area of Cherokee County, Mrs. Wilkins was a daughter of the late Floyd and Annie Bell Morgan Revels. She was a homemaker, a member of Goucher Baptist Church and a retired textile employee.

   Surviving are her daughters, Shirley Biggerstaff of Boiling Springs, SC and Elaine Gibson of Gaffney; her son, Wilburn Keith Wilkins of Greer; her brother, Armel Revels of Union; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Wilkins was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Lee Revels Pace; a brother, Charles Edward Revels; two grandsons, Michael Ray Gibson and Randall Scott Gibson; and a granddaughter, Pamela Jean Gibson.

   Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008, in the chapel at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mike McGaha officiating. Interment followed at Frederick Memorial Gardens.

   Pallbearers were Tommy Biggerstaff, Tony Trejo, Adam Trejo, Dale Biggerstaff, Tim Biggerstaff and Daniel Biggerstaff.

   The family will be at their respective homes.

RAMONA MULLINAX

   Ramona Bolin Mullinax, 74, of 128 Lester Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

   Born in York, she was the widow of the late Wilton Mullinax and the daughter of the late Rufus Bolin and Elsie Mullinax Bolin. Mrs. Mullinax was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

   She is survived by a son, James Mullinax and wife, Margaret, of Gaffney; a daughter-in-law, Diane Mullinax of Bryson City, NC; a brother, Jay Bolin and wife, Mae, of Grover, NC; four grandchildren, Jamie Mullinax, Greg Mullinax, Melissa Smith and Mitch Peeler; nine great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mullinax was preceded in death by a son, Howard Dean Mullinax and two sisters.

   Graveside services were held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008, at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating.

   Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

   The family will be at the home of James and Margaret Mullinax, 124 Lester Drive.

CAROL HAYES

   Esther Carol Marcum Hayes, 50, of 138 Fawnhurst Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 28, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

   Born in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of James Marcum and Esther Finney Marcum of Lexington, KY, and the wife of Kevin Hayes of the home. She was employed by Timken Company and was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. Mrs. Hayes was a former Chairman of Houston County, Georgia Relay for Life and was also active in the local Relay for Life.

   In addition to her husband and parents, she is also survived by one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Hayes of the home; and one brother, Reid Marcum and wife, Melinda, of Levenworth, Kansas.

   Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Grassy Pond Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Roger Aycock and Rev. Martin Hogg. Interment will be in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, KY.

   In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Gaffney Relay for Life, c/o American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

   The family will be at the residence.
